  John Coovert

Senior Manager, Global Physical Security

Concur Technologies

John is the Senior Manager of Global Physical Security Team at Concur Technologies. John is responsible for the safety and security of Concur’s assets; primarily its employees.  John is the Primary Point of Contact and Coordinator for emergency response, preparedness and communication as it relates to the safety and security for all Concurians.  He has over 26 years of experience in law enforcement and security including time with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and United States Marine Corps, and Casino Gaming industry.  John had previously been at Adobe Systems where he was the Headquarters Site Security Manager and the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Manager.  John has been involved with and managed responses to numerous natural and manmade crisis events to include Super-storm Sandy, Paris terrorist attacks, Far East Asia typhoons, etc.  John is a standing member with ASIS, Association of Former Intelligence Officers (AFIO), and the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP)

Vice Chairman: Jennifer Wu

Jennifer relocated to the Pacific Northwest to join G4S Secure Solutions in September 2012. As the Compliance and Development Manager at G4S, she partners with businesses and government entities to develop and implement security solutions. She sees the value in merging security expertise, technology and manpower to drive optimal results. Jennifer is an active member of ASIS and IAHSS. She also served as co-chair for 2013 Law Enforcement Awards Gala which helped raise funds for ASIS scholarships.

Born in Hong Kong, Jennifer is a fluent speaker in Chinese. She obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting, with focus on fraud examination and forensic accounting. She recently completed the Foster Business and Economic Development certificate program at the University of Washington. Jennifer is an advocate for organizations that promote education, fine arts and minorities. She currently resides in Seattle, WA.

Board Secretary: Fallon Long

Fallon is currently a security manager at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Fallon has been involved in the security profession since 2007. She has previously worked as a security supervisor at Fred Hutch and a portfolio manager for Star Protection Agency, and is a US Army Veteran. She considers herself an innovator who is not constrained by past practices.

Fallon’s recent accomplishments include performing as an integral part of planning and management for visits by both the First Lady of China and Vice President Joe Biden to the Fred Hutch campus.

Processing a can-do attitude, she recently completed her BA in Security Management and plans to obtain her CPP in the near future.

Board Treasurer: Bo Bodrak

Bo is a Safety and Security professional with 30+ years of experience in healthcare, private security industry and law enforcement.  In his current role as Director of Safety, Security & Emergency Management for Providence Health and Services he and his team provide safety and security services to multiple hospital campuses and clinics in the Northwest Region, the Providence corporate offices in Renton and has provided security consultation (including security assessments) to multiple smaller Providence entities (Mount St. Vincent’s, Elderplace, Heritage House).  Prior to Providence Bo was the Seattle Branch Manager for ABM Security providing security services to most of the downtown high-rise market.  Bo also had his own security consulting business providing a variety of services to various property management entities, convention centers and private businesses post 9/11.

 

Bo has obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management and is a Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) through the International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety.

Communications Chair: Ben Brown

Ben is currently a physical security specialist with Concentric Advisors.

Ben gained his experience in the United States Navy where he managed Anti-Terrorism and occupational safety programs. Following his time in the Navy, he worked with the Security and Fire Protection Services at Boeing. Ben continues his military service in the Air Force Reserve as an integrated avionics technician and is currently pursuing his B.A. in Security Management.He is a current holder of the Certification in Homeland Security – III designation, and is working towards taking the CPP.
